In this class we will be taking pieces of the Frank Garcia fabric line – Parisian Snippets to create a one-of-a-kind vintage small hanging piece of art.

Every year for the last several years, I have traveled to the Provence to collect vintage French finds, mostly textiles and small pieces to create art. The piece we will be working on is approximately 9 x 11 that will be embellished with the Parisian Snippets fabric line Frank created, DMC embroidery threads (metallics and cotton), as well as some French metal threads.Included will be tiny beads and vintage sequins, embroidery needle and beading needle.You will be given a generous supply of vintage French laces, vintage French metal trim, vintage French laundry ribbon, buttons, etc.Also included is the vintage French bullion metal trim that we will be using on the bottom of the tapestry (super hard to find these days). You will have plenty to create your own work of Parisian art.Also included will be a vintage inspired tiny hanger to display your piece.

Each kit will come with everything you need, except for a few supplies you will need and probably already have:

Craft Mat (required in studio), Craft light, Sharp fabric scissors – Small and medium, Fine tip white craft glue for paper like Art Glitter glue or fabric tac glue, Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (Ideal if your gun has a tiny tip), E6000 (tiny tube works best), Sharp Pencil, Sharp fabric pins (to pin fabric down), Ruler, Spellbinders Splatter Effects “sparkle”

Optional: You can bring images that you printed on fabric no bigger than 2.5 x 4 or smaller. Any bits and bobs, beads, or threads you want to add to your creation to make it your own.
